That was right after reading all the Ann Rice vampire books though and I wanted her vampires to be just like Rice's and of course they weren't. I've thought often of trying this series again...but not sure I should. Especially if the series seems to go downhill after awhile.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17182023445485838169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441624898003891357.post-37726477094405503102010-08-13T20:12:03.990-05:002010-08-13T20:12:03.990-05:00I haven't read any from this series. Not sure it's the best fit for me (maybe the earlier books?), but I had to comment on the picture of the four tigers -- beautiful!Dawn @ sheIsTooFondOfBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09285873722005594325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441624898003891357.post-56485438771649218782010-08-05T21:26:41.644-05:002010-08-05T21:26:41.644-05:00I'm one of those that loved the earlier books ...I'm one of those that loved the earlier books and then became disinterested in the porn, nothing but sex plots. I heard Skin Trade was somewhat back to her old style but a softer Edward - one of my favorite characters - isn't for me. Although an extra creepy Olaf sounds like fun. Thanks for the review. I had to crack up that your back to back posts are Disney's Jungle Book and Skin Trade - talk about a range!

~Alyssa
Teens Read & WriteAlyssa Kirkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05619379952262450970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441624898003891357.post-37385087435325170572010-08-05T21:17:54.207-05:002010-08-05T21:17:54.207-05:00Bermudaonion: I really don't like the covers f...Bermudaonion: I really don't like the covers for this series lately. For one, it doesn't reflect anything in the books, for another it doesn't match any of the other books (besides Blood Noir of course). This series' look has undergone quite a few changes since the beginning so hopefully it will change again soon.

Peppermint Ph.D.: I think the added food does detract a little but I've heard that Hamilton plans on adding some women to the series so hopefully that will take some of the male attention away from Anita. Like you said, she's becoming a slave to the ardeur and it's starting to get old fast for me.

Rhinoa: Obsidian Butterfly is technically the last one before everything changes in the series. It is a big difference so I hope you won't be disappointed too.Ladytink_534https://www.blogger.com/profile/14317480621483829078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441624898003891357.post-38097172143159635592010-08-05T11:05:51.234-05:002010-08-05T11:05:51.234-05:00I've read up to the end of Blue Moon which is ...I've read up to the end of Blue Moon which is supposed to be the last of her good ones. Before long, she will have no choice but to become a slave to the ardeur.
